National Flowers
National flower is one of the national symbols of a country. Every country generally has national symbols, which represents its status and standing and a national flower is also considered as a national symbol.
The Lotus or the Waterlily is the national flower of India. Lotus is an aquatic plant of Nymphaea with broad floating leaves and bright fragrant
flowers that grow only in shallow waters. Apart from India, Lotus is also the national flower of Vietnam.
Many countries across the world choose some or the other flower as a symbol, which at times represents its specific geographic areas. These national flowers are chosen by adopting different processes by government bodies or other ways depanding on the country.
National flowers represent the pride of a country. In India, Lotus is regarded with divinity and grace. It is regarded as a symbol of purity, beauty, fertility, wealth, knowledge and serenity. It has cultural and religious relevance that roots back to hundreds of year.
The national flower of our country is found in different colors including white, pink and blue. In India, the pink lotus is regarded as the national flower. These flowers grow and shine in warm sunlight and are mainly seen in the winter season.
