tulip is a perennial plant of genus Tulipa, which also includes around 150 bulbous varieties with showy flowers. However, tulips are liked with Holland but it is native to Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and other parts of Central Asia. Cultivated mainly in mountainous areas with temperate climate,
tulip plants require a period of cool dormancy.
